Our design system takes inspiration from the TRISO fuel Standard Nuclear produces. TRISO (TRi-structural ISOtropic) fuel is the world’s most advanced nuclear fuel.
TRISO (TRi-structural ISOtropic) fuel is the world’s most advanced nuclear fuel. Each particle is a miniature powerhouse, with multiple protective layers that contain the fuel and fission products. TRISO is the foundation for advanced reactors on Earth and in space.
